Definitely not respectable but cherished by upper class society. You'll pay someway or another to get anything sexual from most women, just how it goes. Why it's wrong is because you're paying money instead of time? Idk, you pay for dinner and Netflix, same shit just a different perspective.

But they're in limbo, not quite sluts since they don't throw it at you for free. But not really the girl you'd want as your girl.

Sure you were:

XD
It applies to most females because men spend money on women most of the time. It's an indirect form of money exchange. Instead of directly paying the female they pay for things like food for the female which gives them *** in return if they liked it. It's prostitution no matter how you spin it. They're just discreet about it nowadays.

Then the rest of my arguments apply. You can't include "applies to most females" and not examine how most females relationships actually operate in full.

I didn't talk about relationships in my post. I'm talking about the social dynamics of the dating world. How the guy who don't pay somehow won't get any *****. It's not hard to see that, you're just being willfully ignorant.

I'm not, I'm saying even if this is true, it is not enough to say "This is the only dynamic that matters between men and women." XD

Respectable? Nope, not at all. Immoral, disgusting, self-defeating, bellitling, humiliating, socially destructive, face-depraving, irresponsible, useless, perverted, dangerous, abominizing and highly distasteful act.

Proffesion? Nope, not even close. Let's check out what a proffesion is.

A profession is a vocation founded upon specialised educational training, the purpose of which is to supply disinterested objective counsel and service to others, for a direct and definite compensation, wholly apart from expectation of other business gain.[1]

a type of job that requires special education, training, or skill

a vocation requiring knowledge of some department of learning or science

any type of work that needs special training or a particular skill, often one that is respected because it involves a high level of education:

In all above, for something to be considered a proffesion it needs to require atleast some form of special training in terms of education. Dropping your pants down and banging for low cash doesn't require anything and as such is neither a proffesion and definitely not respectable.

I never claimed or even hinted that it's the only dynamic but it's the most consistent one.

Hence supporting my original statement that most women in the dating world would fit the definition of prostitutes. Indirect prostitution, discreet prostitution, unofficial prostitution, but prostitution nontheless.

Now if you stop your useless argument. I'd like to address the topic of this thread, which is if prostitution is respectable.

My answer is it depends on why you're a prostitute. Every person regardless of where they are or what they're doing in life have a story and it's only after getting to know that person that you can make a determination of their respectability. For instance, a mother who is a prostitute to support her family is respectable. A person who is a prostitute because they want to make quick money on the side is not.

It's all in the details, the profession itself is not respectable but a person in that profession can be.

I don't find it particularly respectable - but then again, I don't find a lot of jobs "respectable" either.

Prostitution... I don't have a problem with it. I have a problem with gangs/pushers/pimps. With prostitutes who feel like they have no other option, that they have no choice.

But the profession itself? Nah. Zero issues with it.

Ever seen Secret Diary of a Call Girl? (Billie Piper), I'd link a trailer vid from youtube but it's R-rated - that kind of... career, doesn't seem so bad.

Might also be because I've grown up in a liberal environment, in a fairly liberal society where *** isn't taboo and one-night stands are fairly normal.
So, why not get paid for it?

idk either way, but i figure someone who loves to make quick money and have *** is probably be proud of what they do for a living...especially if their customers walk away with a smile on their face.
I don't judge them. But let's face it , it not respectable .
what's "respectable" is a matter of opinion. There are ppl who think being a pro wrestler, a banker, a lawyer, or a janitor isn't respectable.

Selling your body to a bunch of dudes? no
there's not much difference between someone selling their body to ppl and someone who uses their body to get what they want. And let's face it, it's a commonly accepted practice.

So someone's trying to degrade women because they get added benefits of a relationship? What does that say about the men paying for the ***?

People who go to prostitutes are just as bad if not worse then they are.
as opposed to what? Paying for dinner on a date or gifts to get the same thing? Someone is basically paying to get some nookie either way, but at least the person who goes to a prostitute don't have to worry about cutting through somebody's red tape trying to get some.
