Scenario: 30% Kisame. Basically, replace Team Guy with just Chiyo.

Kisame charges in and cuts her apart, unless Chiyo starts with the 100 puppet army already out. If it's just her two initial ones, they get wrecked (unless you believe they're physically better than base Gai, who was matched and overpowered by 30% Kisame). Samehada should also be able to absorb the chakra threads, so Kisame takes it handily.

Kisame charges in and cuts her apart

How is it that simple, to someone known as a skilled Taijutsu user of her village (with 4.5/5 in stats)?

unless Chiyo starts with the 100 puppet army already out. If it's just her two initial ones, they get wrecked (unless you believe they're physically better than base Gai, who was matched and overpowered by 30% Kisame)

She can start with whatever she wants to, as she only needs 1 finger for each puppet, she deems useful for this match up.

By a land slide, her performance would be better then Base Guy, cause of puppetry. She refused to be put down as an Edo, against KCM Naruto Clone, Mifune, and his Division. That feat alone, along with her crazy strike speed with them is testament.

Adding her 10 special puppet usage would be even more versatile.

Samehada should also be able to absorb the chakra threads, so Kisame takes it handily.

True, but to puppeteers 1)[ ]

2.) She could hide her chakra strings[ ]. Making it possible to pull away Samehada temporarily. Since we seen how Samehada and Kisame has failed to react to one in those situations.

The match is definitely not one-sided

This is a terrible match up for Chiyo.

Its not too bad. Only reason why it looks bad is because Kisame can simply absorb chakra strings. Which was addressed already.

Chiyo still has tricks up her sleeves for that issue, plus puppets with long range and sealings to make up for it.

Reconnecting chakra strings wouldn't work when Samehada can sense the chakra. Once the strings are cut Chyio's hands are tied to reconnect with Same there.

Samehada senses strong chakra though. It going for strings doesn't make any sense to me. If she can bring out her puppets from the start, she can win. Kisame's speed is blown out of proportion, when it was Samehada that reacted against Bee both times, not Kismae, who lost in CQC to Asuma and needed Itachi's aid to bail him out of Kurenai's trap.

1. Samehada is drawn to those with large chakra supplies
2. Only a fused + WD is capable of that feat.

Otherwise it would have never failed to absorb Asuma's and Neji's chakra attack.

1. Doesn't matter
2. Samehada is a chakra absorbing monster. He can definitely sense chakra
It's up to Kisame to chose. Against a puppeteer that you would know they use chakra strings, it'll be as simple as walking in a park

1. So your point doesnt matter anymore? Ok.
2. Today I learn that everyone who can absorb chakra can sense chakra signature. Thanks

It takes one string to control a puppet and 4 other fingers to reconnect it,. And it takes 1 swing to absorb the chakra. As long as the string isnt in Samehada box range, it will be fine. But yea simple puppet CQC wont be enough to take out Kisame either way

1. It doesn't matter if the chakra is huge or not. Samehada being a chakra absorbing monster would still sense the chakra.
2. wth does chakra signature has to do with anything here? The chakra's presence is felt through Samehada.

Kisame can make a clone and have it wait. Then after every chakra string he has cut he will have the clone to destroy the puppet either by smashing it, or by making a water shark chew on it.

You up for debating this then?

From what Shoten Kisame has shown, Chiyo has a chance.
