OT: while I feel it's possible, the source of the chakra has to be a dojutsu, for Madara/Indra the source has to be the body, and for Ashura it has to be the eyes. Since they lack body and eyes respectively

While they gain hagoromo's chakra. They don't gain all his abilities. If they did, madara and sasuke would have unlocked RSM( ie gained hagoromo's yang powers too)

In Indra, hagoromo's chakra heightens their eye power.

In ashura, hagoromo's chakra would heighten their body.

Except there's two sides to Hagormo's power, RSM and Rinnegan. Without a Sharingan his eyes won't evolve into Rinnegan but with Ashura's mastery of NE and the 9 bijuu, the body can unlock Six Path Senjutsu.

Indra's transmigrants awakened SPS after awakening the Rinnegan, but without the Sharingan Ashura's will awaken SPS without the Rinnegan. The Sharingan is needed because Rinnegan is the natural progression of Indra's dojutsu.

No it's not. Rinegan is a seperate dojutsu lmao it has nothing to do with Sharingan. Sharingan peaks at EMS. It take's more than Indra to get Rinnegan meaning it's not a "Natural" progression. it needs and outside source (Ashuras Chakra)

He wouldn't man. Getting hagaormoo's chakra doesn't automatically get you think rinnegan. Kakashi was given direct Hagormoo's chakra and his eyes didn't become the rinnegan.
