The U.S. is not solely controlled by the President. You have branches of government to balance each other out in case one tries to abuse power, and when that fails, you have the voice of the people.

Firstly that was a simple question i asked and you could simply said you knew or not

secondly i was not interested in fighting with you but if others replies were too much to you and my reply made you go overboard then that wasn't my intention .

Let's ask a slightly different question. Do we need any leaders or authority? The answer is currently yes.
However, the real answer assuming you provide everyones needs is no. We don't need anyone in power.
Infact leaders do more harm than good, it doesn't matter what their intention is, power corrupts.
Who whips the leader back in line? You might say the people but most of it is hidden from the public.

if its hidden from the public, then the illusion is necessary also. The power Game isnt as moral and ethical as they would want you to see. But thanks to all the hypocrissy and deceit, the world is where it is now. And i'd like you to best believe the world isnt such a bad place if compared to what it was just a few centuries ago.

But our government is a lot better than the majority of other nations.

A president is someone who represents the people and speaks for the people. That means their policy align with our views of shaping the country. The president run the country 24/7. People have everyday jobs to do. People do not have time to focus on the country. That is why we elect a president who feels is best to get the job done.

when i take a look at ppl living below the poverty line, ppl living barely living above the poverty line, and the homeless, i wonder just how true that is when i see how the president gets to live like a monarch in a neighborhood where hearing gunshots isn't commonplace.
