Itachi was an S rank ninja from the bingo book and maybe you do not know but all the villages try to bring back or eliminate rogue ninja's from their villages. I agree it was not top priority back then but does not mean he wasn't being kept on eye on. Jiraiya for example constantly monitoring the akatsuki activities.
They started searching for Itachi more seriously in order to bait Sasuke and bring him back which was all thanks to Naruto and Tsunade who didn't want to eliminate Sasuke as a missing nin.
Regarding Oro, Oro tempted Sasuke with promises of more and quick power and Sasuke being too jealous and butthurt over Naruto's superiority and in a hurry to gain power fast and beat Itachi took the bait.



Well, he took the CM seal quite happily and Oro being Oro certainly would've expermented with Sasuke with or without his knowledge and ignoring Sasuke's dislike, after all he was preparing Sasuke to be his next vessel and he was short on time to make Sasuke ready by that time. I know being a fanboy you'd disagree but still I thought that I should give it at least a try....

Shuriken
Katon
Raiton took Sasuke a week to learn can't remember
Chidori
Chidori variants
Kirin
Swordmans skills

Those are skills which can't be handed but needs training.

There no concrete proof Sasuke used drugs while with Orochimaru, but we have proof Sasuke hates Oro for using drugs to get strong.

The only time we see Sasuke use drug is to make the Curse Seal not be a hinderance.

Get it your head Sasuke is not the star of the series Naruto is, so Sasuke is never going to get the same time on trading that the star dose.

We see Sasuke training in:

> Chakra control in the Wave Arc
> Flash backs of him wanting to train with his younger borhter
> Kakashi training him with Chidori

Every character has some type of training flash back. Some people just forgot. We even have a scan of Itachi training in Shuriken Jutsu with his Sharingan, but again, 'prodigies don't train' myth being debunked.

Edit: I forgot to add 'Fire Release' for Sasuke, since his father taught him the seals and he had to learn it from scratch after observation.

The difference between talented characters, and hard workers, is that the writer can ease certain abilities off screen. For instance Sasuke learned all of these abilities, but it didn't shock you because he is a Genius. However if Naruto started off with two elemental natures, Sage Mode, and all these extra frog techniques, then we couldn't exactly call him a hard worker when he would destroy everyone else in his league.

It's already been stated that training was his hobby, his goal was to reach Itachi's level, are you gonna assume he would just laze around and do pranks like Naruto ? He was training under 3 years for Orochimaru, and we were given a glimpse of what kind training he was doing

He was sleeping and snake sucker Orochimaru for 3 years. Orochimaru drug doctor is magic.
