Well I remember hearing something like that when he got the hogyoku, he basically no longer needed his zanpakuto, therefore could no longer use his bankai.
Isn't Ukitake dead....? And as far as I remember Aizen's Zanpakuto was shattered in his fight against Ichigo...so although I would have liked to see these two Bankai but they are highly improbable....unless Ukitake pulls a Kira and Aizen somehow gains his zanpakuto again.....Shinji's will be good
Don't expect much from Byakuya in the war arc. After As Nodt wrecked him, he hasn't done anything useful that couldn't have Been done without him. Kubo did plan to kill him, and now he's got nothing else to do.
He should have continued to keep him dead
Imo it was dumb he died in the 1st place being in the top 5 strongest captains he was made to get rek'd low diff. And now he's just a dude watching people fight kubo truly killed Byakuya's character. But it was somewhat hinted at that he found a new bankai from learning the basics of his sword again.
Doubt Yoruichi still has a Zanpakuto, otherwise she would have used it against Askin. It wouldn't have worked, but she should have used it in any case.
Chojro's Dead, Omaeda's fodder, Izuru's a Zombie Robot, Isane's fodder, Momo's fodder, Renji's been taken out by Gerard somehow, Shuhei's been shot, Nanao just fell over after doing nothing, Iba's fodder, Rangiku's fodder, Yachiru might be Nozarashi, Nemu is a fine pink mist, and Rukia's been taken out by Gerard somehow.
I don't think it will be a new bankai, just a lot bigger. Nodt confused his shikai for his bankai, so we can assume at least that is bigger. I think it will just be more blades
He's my favorite character on bleach but kubo did him wrong.
