probably because he wasnt particular strong at it, or at least nothing compared to sensing he gets from SM. however that scan was when they were kids so its possible adult hashirama became somewhat better at sensing as he matured and trained.

Could be but remember when Hashirama and Tobirama was talking about Hokage and Madara overheard them? He was close as hell and Hashirama still asking Tobirama if he sensed who was there. Maybe Hashirama isn't a sensor Tobirama is a sensor but "better" get it?

You can only sense NE/Senjutsu If you have NE/Senjutsu chakra yourself. Like when Naruto had to go SM to sense the Juubi.

I see alot of people believe sasuke is a sensor, that simply isn't true. Naruto and Sasuke are yin & yang, they are connected spiritually. Even worlds apart they can sense one another.

This was proved when Naruto sensed sasuke's yin chakra when kaguya kidnapped him, Naruto stated he could feel sasuke clearly.
Again in Boruto movie when momo kidnapped Naruto, sasuke sensed his yang chakra. Sasuke stated Naruto was alive and that he could feel him.

All of Kaguya's dimensions are linked to her core dimensions. With his dojutsu sasuke can track traces of her chakra and traverse her dimensions. It was never explained but logically like obito, sasuke most likely synch his portals with the rifts left behind by kaguya's S/T and other chakra signatures.

Some people believe sasuke sensed sakura however that wasn't the case. Sasuke after getting the info from orochimaru most likely deduced her location from previous ventures. However once they arrived it was Naruto whom sensed sakura's exact location.

I already presented as to why sasuke could feel natural energy.

Sasuke has been utilizing natural energy since pt 1 thanks to the curse mark. He mastered the curse mark in pt 2, this means he learned to control the natural energy within his body. He he even used the natural energy jugo provided into his susanoo effortlessly. So sasuke being able to sense natural energy is no big deal, afterall is used to be apart of him.
