However what kind of cooldown, restriction or weakness will be on it?

Goku managed to scratch him and land attacks on him after he blocked Hit's timeleap attacks, so there might be an interval in which Hit cant timeleap or some other restriction or weakness to Hit using timeleap.

Goku probably timed and predicted Hit's counter. The moment he knew Hit was going to punch, Goku already planned to block. Now that he's at Super Saiyan Blue and that he also has a trump card, this will get interesting.

However there must be some restriction his timeleap, otherwise he can spam 0.1 sec leaps.
Maybe he needs to land an attack on a target (unblocked and unevaded) before he can leap again.
Something like that.

Maybe it has a cooldown/interval or he might need to close his eyes in order to activate the leap, making it more difficult to see the prediction that Goku will do. Or some other requirement to start the leap.

Stuff like that.

Yeah you could be right. He probably has to wait for a couple of seconds, maybe 5 seconds to repeat the process. I love how smart Goku becomes during a fight. He's a true fighting genius...

people shoot lots of lightning when transforming in DBZ. A lightning-y Kamehameha would just be an extremely strong one. it probably isn't his trump card though, most likely just some new form, or remembering he can use kaioken.

I dont like that idea of lightning kamehameha, if it would just be one with way more raw power as you say.

I would prefer Goku making use of Kaioken in some new way.
As it is difficult to find opportunities to attack and defend vs Hit, a Kaioken which is about short bursts in power and speed, would be quite ideal here for those opportunities.
Especially if Goku makes use of it in some new way.
