It doesn't really matter if they're the focal point or not. If they're the focal point then they should be in sync, but it didn't seem that way in the beginning and even in early Shippuden.

How is any of this Kakashi's fault? Yes they weren't in sync because of Sasuke actions and in the beginning it was due to their childish rivarly. Kakashi still did his part of reminding his team teamwork together. Sakura helped him out with this. It shouldn't be a teacher's fault if they still can't get along after being told so for many times by Kakashi.

Do you honestly believe that Neji cared about being trained by Gai, and do you honestly believe that someone like Gai can teach a Hyuga? The only thing that Gai did for Neji was probably the basic squad drills, but Neji never repeatedly asked his sensei to train him. Neji didn't care for training by Gai because he was doing his own personal Hyuga training and sometimes Tenten would assist in his routines.

How much ever of a genius you are doesn't take from a teacher's responsibilty to teach the student. Yes there is one category I believe Neji could've learned from Gai and that's Stamina/Endurance. The Taijutsu master is best at that so. So what if the two Taijutsu styles differ, there should never be an excuse that " oh yeah my prodigical student never learned from me because he was too good for my teaching style". It seems very silly. Ok but then why the lowkey Kakashi shade. You say that Neji wanted to only participate in his Hyuga training and it isn't Gai's fault. I respect that opinion but then why do you deride Kakashi if Naruto chose to train with Jiraiya.

Naruto has asked Kakashi at least twice to train him before and he always turned him away and focused on Sasuke. While it is true that Gai shares a lot in common with Lee, I don't remember his students ever asking for special training and then being rejected just because of their own bias.

Gai's two other students Neji and Tenten never liked Gai's style of teaching or training and Gai only cared for Lee. His students noticed this so they simply ignored that aspect of Hai and left him alone with Lee. Like Gai, Kakashi had commitments and it wasn't bias he simply wanted to give Naruto a better oppurtunity to suceed. If there was a better Raiton user than Kakashi for sure he would have given up Sasuke to that guy but since there wasn't and he had many things in common with him including attitude he resolved to teach Sasuke. He rejected Naruto down due to him knowing that Jiraiya would take him under his wing.

Clearly that is the only reason, and don't tell me that Kakashi could not train Naruto because he is an Uzumaki because it should have been clear that Kakashi had the necessary tools to help Naruto.

He certainly could have but as discussed before Jiraiya was a better suitor.

Honestly, Sakura was a lost cause and it was partially or more her fault as she actually didn't care about getting stronger, only after Sauce left the village, so I guess Kakashi is not to blame for Sakura's lack of responsibility as a ninja.

Okay? Not doubting teamwork.

Agreed with Sakura and Teamwork.

He never gave her a tip. Kakashi just commented on Sakura being the only one to dispell Kabuto's Genjutsu. He was more impressed than giving advice.

The tip came when the Team was hunting for the bells and Sakura got caught in his genjutsu. That is what I am talking about.

Bottom line is that Kakashi has more negative points than Gai and hypothetical situations are irrelevant.

Alright enjoyed getting your opinion of this matter but I still believe they should be judged differently due to them being placed in different situations.

Hmm that kind of takes away from the severity of the punishment knowing that there is a mod to save your ass, don't you think.

It's nothing against you btw.

Well not really, since I knew what I did was wrong and asked for another chance. It's not like they just let me come back.

Orochimaru.

He did not fool around or settled for mediocracy when training his (or her) students. If he wanted them to get better he did not recruit low tier ninja (like Ebisu) to waste time instead of him.

Asuma imo. He had a fair amount of interaction with his team and even gave a heartfelt speech to all 3 when he was dying. Just because he favored Shikamaru didn't lead to him neglecting Ino and Choji, which is a plus. Unlike other senseis who neglected others for their fave student.

Jiraiya has been making Hokage: Naruto and Minato. Nagato doesn't count, but he was a leader of a village (Rain).

Nice training Jiraiya san

I prefer Jiraiya (who trained two future Hokage and Nagato), as well as Kakashi, who is just an awesome person.

The awkward and irony moment you dying killed by your own student :(

What's akward or ironic about that moment??

Jiraiya trained his students with the intent that they would surpass him. It ended up being fate that Nagato killed him. That moment is more like an honor in my eyes. It serves to measure how well one taught.

So is it akward or ironic when Orochimaru killed Hiruzen and managed to outlast the Reaper Death Seal? It's simply fate dude. Kakashi sensei was also close to recieving the same treatment by Sasuke Uchiha.

Awkward because his last fight turns out to be with the student he long to see yet they fight with no mercy to kill J-Man. Irony because they both want peace but one achieving it in wrong way.
