[Suggestion] Instant messaging

just a idea just ahh throwing it out there but maybe in the user cp or on a profile you could have a instant mesaging not quite pming but not vming you could call it personal messaging or something and it whould use all your contacts and load it into a skype type thing for chating without spamming a forum or wasting precious pm space and without the hassle of reading back 10 pages on your profile to see if your friend messaged you while you were away. just a thought all in favor like this post

probaly ive seen quite a few plugins like this before but i dont know the specs of the forum so i whouldnt know if it could

If we had instant messaging we wouldn't be a forum. Just make a skype group.

Sorry but no.

Such a suggestion has been made multiple times before. But it defeats the idea of a forum and works against it. NB has too many active members, the servers can't handle any instant messaging chat plugin if 350 to 400 members will be online. It's impossible to moderate and keep check on it either.

the idea that im thinking of isnt instant messaging i just think there should be a better way to talk main reason i even suggested something like this is becuase skype been really unresponsive today

I understand that but I just told you the reasons why it's not likely to be implemented. You can wait for an admin to reply if you wish.
