OT: Sasuke went on his own accord only refers to the part where he wanted more power. Now he goes there for research purposes or to gather info.

Mitsuki knows about Sasuke because either he saw him in Konoha or simply Orochimaru told him about Sasuke though I am heavily leaning towards the fact that they already met at some point. There is always some threat man, Sasuke is a wanderer so he will go investigate.
