His drawing skills are pretty good but his style just doesn't fit Naruto.

I dunno.... like this whole thing is pretty bad. I can't imagine the story being much better. Mitsuki one shot will be the last good thing we might ever have.

Which means she might not actually have them in the manga to come (sarada) but i assumed that might be the case since they always drew sakura with weapons.

Who knows. They are just character designs, like remember Boruto's Movie design with him holding wrench, and people thought he was going to use that as a weapon? lmfao.

Anyway based on design alone, it seems like they liked the idea of Sakura using it, so it might be medical ninjutsu related. Like a cool way to use chakra scapel. Just throwing ideas out there.

He also liked drawing Naruto with swords too. So I wonder who else is getting weapons as the series continues, I like the idea of more weapon users than flashy explosions.

Agreed. Since we aren't going there for visuals, it might be the opposite, and surprise us with the story. Though honestly, a good half of it looks like redrawn panels of the Boruto Movie. So if they are making the Movie in Manga form, despite the fact that a large majority of us have seen the Movie already. Not sure how that is supposed to grab us and make us feel interested for the chapter afterwards. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Either way by the looks of it, their dynamic is nothing like the old generation, so we shouldn't be seeing setbacks. Especially with the female pool, at least in Team Konohamaru's section. Wanting to become Hokage is like plot 101 strength boost from start to finish.

That would be because Ikemoto drew Naruto closer to the audience's point of view than Sasuke/Sakura who were further in the background.
