It's shameful . Naruto has been spouting he wanted to be hokage since he was a little kid. Naruto would do anything to become hokage and train nonstop his most proficent jutsu. The problem with Naruto is this kid never really gave it any thought.


But in only 1 panel Itachi effortlessly taught him how to become hokage with only a few words.

Compared to Sasuke on the other hand, a true pursuer of greatness wanted more than that measly title. Sasuke wanted to be Itachi, he wanted to become the "True Hokage" or aka Solo King.

Itachi pushed both Sasuke and Naruto onto the right paths. Without him, Sasuke would still be in a murderous rampage against everyone, and Naruto would have turned into the next Tobi, trying to do literally everything by himself.

Sasuke decided to murder everyone in the leaf village because of itachi's sacrifice,I think sasuke took the wrong path in the first place because of itachi's roundabout guidiance.naruto helped Sasuke into the right path after their battle which helped sasuke see the errors of his ways by seeking revenge on Konoha and the bijuus,something itachi could not do even when given a second chance as an edo tenseI.

Sasuke didn't want to destroy Konoha because of what Itachi did. Sasuke wanted to destroy Konoha because Obito told him what Itachi did.

Itachi's plan worked perfectly until Obito ****ed it up. Had Sasuke been kept in the dark and believed that Itachi was just a murderer, he probably would have actually gone back to Konoha, or at least settled down somewhere.

It was Tobi's plan that sent Sasuke down that path, not Itachi's, and Itachi actually managed to put him back on the right path.

And Naruto didn't change Sasuke's views of Itachi, he changed Sasuke's views of Naruto, making him understand that he and Itachi worked in the same way. So really, Sasuke still believes in what Itachi did, but also realized that Naruto did as well, which is why he "changed" his ideals.

He knew his plan was useless unless he could deal with Obito - in other words, his plan wasn't complete until Obito was dealt with. Obito attempting to influence Sasuke was an inevitable outcome. He assumed that he had taken care of that with the Amaterasu trap.

People like to say Itachi had everything planned out perfectly, but a key phase of his plan, killing Obito, was hedged on a bit of risk. Itachi already knew about things like Izanagi. If his bet failed, we can't say Itachi's plan was perfect, because it clearly wasn't. So Itachi's plan was only halfway successful, and did in fact contribute to Sasuke deciding to turn against the village. Itachi was well-aware that this was a possible outcome, but was overconfident in his ability to avert it.

Which is why he realized that this could have been averted if he hadn't tried to do everything himself.

If you want to look at it that way, sure. But that's why I said it was perfect until Obito came along. Itachi wasn't even positive that Obito would come to him, otherwise he probably would have made more of an effort to prevent it, based on all the trouble he went to to keep Obito from Konoha, yet loving Sasuke more than Konoha.
