He knows that Rin's death has nothin to do with Kakashi, he actually knows that Madara had planned it so Madara should be the last person on earth if he have to revive with rinne tensei.
I think he will just fight a good fight to unite the alliance and then just die. Because of plan changed and he was forced to revive Madara with rinne tensei by black zetsu.

We all know that Black Zetsu is the master mind behind all of this, so it was more likely he gave Kabuto the location of Madara's dna or even his body to modify it. I dont think Madara the most cunning man in the world will let some one else to find his trace.

Now back to Obito, his reason for all of this was kinda weak, so he probably made up his mind long ago...
