Itachi Arc may only be 8 episodes

The original info about Itachi arc being 9 episodes may have been misinterpreted, but I think it should be confirmed on Friday/Saturday when the episode summaries are released..

Only up to May 5th is confirmed for sure

April 07 - #455 - Itachi Episode 5 (New ED theme)
April 14 - #456 - Itachi Episode 6
April 21 - #457 - Itachi Episode 7
April 28 - #458 - Itachi Episode 8
May 05 - #000 - NO EPISODE/BREAK
May 12 - #459 - Kaguya arc episode 1 (New OP theme) - *unconfirmed

Plus it does make more sense for them to divide it this way.

Well we haven't even started part 2 of the arc yet... The 2nd half with ANBU Itachi, Tobi interaction, and the massacre will be darker themed as well.

There was still stuff they skipped from the first novel. God, why couldn't they just adapt it correctly? If you're going to do this then don't halfway do it.

They have limited budget and have to adhere to TVTokyo's guidelines. And yet, they still managed to animate the major moments from book one (sharingan activation due to Tenma's death & the war scene). Everything else was just his relationships with family/friends which they successfully got the gist of.

Things they cut out from book one were mainly just feats he had (Saving his mom/Sasuke from a boulder with chakra-enhanced strength when he's 5 and guiding them to safety during the Kyuubi attack, Chunnin exams record and his fights, him killing an adult traitor to join Anbu, etc... this is epic but we don't need to see it as we already know how elite Itachi is).

Keeping this in mind, they could not have done better.

Well, the Kakashi arc kind of doubled as a Yamato arc.

So I am assuming, the reason there is no quiz that day, is because there is no Itachi episode that day to actualy be quizzed on.

But Pierrot always splits each disc into only 4 or 5 episodes.

So it went like
Kakashi Volume 1: 4 episodes
Kakashi Volume 2: 4 episodes
Kakashi Volume 3: 5 episodes

Just like that, Itachi arc will be split into 2 volumes.
Itachi VOlume 1: 4 episodes
Itachi Volume 2: 4 episodes (*maybe* 5?)

I did as well, but it is what it is. At least they did some major parts. I don't think it will hurt to have 8 Itachi arc eps plus some before and after of the war arc.

When Viz does Uncut sets, they usually do 12-13 eps depending on the arc. I believe he was referring to that and not the original Japanese that doesn't have subs.
