My problem with that version of Wonder Woman!

I feel like they stripped her of the ability becuase they don't want Supes to have an equal or even a counter part that can compete with their bare fist.

But she was gifted with the ability to fly before the industrial revolution in the comics lol and the movie takes place before BVS..

It's probably in part that they didn't want to implement an additional God Like figure. One of the core plot lines in BvS was that humans were afraid with a being with such immense power and didn't know if they could trust that. That point is made extremely clear by the fact that Superman can just fly everywhere. Him descending from the heavens is the most visually understanding and compelling comparison that he's basically a God.

If Wonder Woman could've also done that, then that would just make the people more and more frightened. But, I wouldn't doubt that in the following movies, they may figure out a way to give her flight, like new magical bracelets that grant her that ability

I agree, it would overwhelm the "movies plot" if there were two God Like' figures in the air but it still bugs me.
