For me my reaction feels the same as when kakashi went DMS. It's like I wondered what a kakashi susano'o would be like and was excited to see what he would do with it but i couldn't really enjoy it because it felt like fan service and a bit of an ass pull. Similarly while it doesn't feel like a complete ass pull I'm hyped to see Zaraki's bankai, but it seems like the writer is going on a bankai fest with the latest fights. We just learned about his Shikai and now he is going bankai. I'm excited but it feels a bit cheap. Did anyone else have similar feelings? (Still hyped for it tho. Lol)

I love Kakashi but even I had to call asspull when Obito's spirit gave him DMS. What did he learn Dan's spirit jutsu off panel or something?
Same for Zaraki's though I agree it is less so with Zaraki's. He's a captain so at least we knew he had a Shikai and Bankai but never cared to learn them because his brute strength was enough at the time.
But it does seem like Kubo is taking a page from Kishi's playbook and is kind of skipping past his own rules, in this case, having to train 100 years to unlock and perfect a Bankai, but hey, ichigo did it too so I guess it isn't that out of the norm.
Again, I'm just hoping Kenpachi's Bankai is an offensive one like Genryusai's and not another damn giant floating female avatar that heals or something.

Are you people drunk :lmai:. Kakashi's DMS was definitely an asspull but don't add Zaraki ti the mix, he's anything but 
. Gerard was basically wiping the floor with him, it's the final arc also of course a "bankai fest" occurs you're facing hax enemies. It'd be disgraceful to take down the staffuel with anything but bankai. They are the final vanguards to Yhwach, have you not seen their powers? If Mayuri didn't go bankai he'd ne turned into paste. The fact that Mayuri won was an asspull and TOO convinient . Shunsui would've dued on the spot, Urahara would be poisoned fodder, and Zaraki would be smashed into cement, it's not fanservice it's just reality :bdpf:. In fact every character right now should not be alive, the only fanservice here is that Yhwach hasn't one shotted everyone yet

It parallels the Kishi asspulls but hasn't achieved his mastery Lol, I already stated that Zaraki's case isn't really asspull (or as much but he getting there)but it still felt cheap and gave me mixed feelings even though I want to see it, similar to my mixed feelings on kakashi. Again Zaraki's feels the most cheap because he really JUST got his meteor cutting Shikai that we barely get to delve into before the pink girl HANDS him a bankai. Lol(, Zaraki and kakashi are my favs from both series btw.)Then we are getting bankai back to back with no real breaks in between. I don't really think Zaraki's bamkai is much of a asspull...
Zaraki showcased his Shikai like a year ago.. and all the signs were there that Yachiru was his Zan, in fact a number of people called it like a year ago..
Now we know that the only ways to achieve bankai is by brute force aka Urahara'a method..
The other is to bond and train with your Zan
We know Zaraki has been with Yachiru for decades and they are actually very close.. Is it then surprising that Zaraki has bankai?

I meant for the people that think Zaraki's was an asspull. That's why I didn't say OP just general populace. Tbf, it seemed as if Sasuke' rinnegan wiuld save Sakura anyway. Also I didn't see the point of his Susano. Kaguya has great healing so I mean it's not like it fazed her. The only thing I see not happening is Sakura not delivering the final blow. Although it's still an asspull. The only asspull I see with the bankais is that they look a SPECIALLY made for THEIR OPPONENT. For example, if Zaraki was facing X-Axis he'd probably be long dead. If Urahara faced pernida that actually would be insanely good given pernida's nerves and Urahara's stitching. But mayuri against Nak le vaar would most likely be in nak le vaar's favor although iirc mayuri is immune to poisons? Correct me if I'm wrong though. Although every shinigami who isn't shunsui loses to Barro. That's the only asspull I see tbh. I'm just hyped for Zaraki's bankai at least. Given the shikai it serms to be just a buffed up nozarashi. Basically more attacking power, I don't know what you expect of kenpachi. He's a straight up brawler not one for tricks or the like. So nozarashi wpuld reflect this. Stil jypd though
Well I prepared my plate of crow to eat. My bad. xD (I think Mayuri is immune to poison). I do agree the bankai's do seem to match up well with their opponents tho. What are the odds right? LOL, Don't get me wrong I'm still hyped to see how much stronger Zaraki can get. I'm ready for that Miracle dude to shut up. He getting on my nerve. >_>
About the kakashi bit they needed that one extra person to distract and kumui away her bone jutsu thingy so they could seal her. I don't think Naruto and Sasuke can seal her without Kakashi imo.

It's not that Zaraki's has a Bankai. As I mentioned earlier, he's a captain. We all knew he was capable of it. He just never had a need for it. The asspull is the fact that all their Bankai are specifically tailored to counter everything their opponent just introduced. i mean every facit of their bankai is tailored to neutralize even the surprise last minute addition to the Quincy god like abilities. And why are all the higher ups' Bankai floating women avatars? Where are the offensive Bankai?
I have high hopes for Zaraki's Bankai. Let it just wreck everything XD

I hope i can make you feel better about this, because this may actually be a new discovery. Kubo's not changing the rules here, he's adding a new dimension to the shinigami's powers. They all think they know everything about zanz, but we may find that there is something higher in power at work. She said things like "if you used me properly..." and "they are calling this ban kai". Yachiru is not his zan, she is a source of power he named. Proof? Go back to the chapters when Ichigo got his new zanpakto. Too much to elaborate on without a tangent. Zaraki has the purest form of shinigami power. We may find that there is a stage after bankai, or even many. Cheers.
