Why do people like Itachi?

I'm probably gonna get some hate for this but I personally don't think Itachi is that interesting of a character. He's always the smartest and his jutsus are way too broken so it just makes him way too perfect. He's also never had a personality outside of being serious and calculating 24/7 so I don't really feel like I know who he is.

People fanboy hard over him though and it makes me wonder if they actually genuinely like his character or they just want to bandwagon the solo.

What do you think?

Eh, this isn't true. His personality is and always was that he's a sensitive and emotionally intelligent type, like Minato. He was frustrated by political struggles that ran contrary to the Will of Fire. Even the Third Hokage says so.

So I guess it's cool for people to have a character that's more subdued and sensitive also be a badass.

I personally don't find him all that compelling, but I see the appeal.

You're right about the sensitive part. I just wish we saw him interact with others where he could show that side of himself a little more like Minato did. We never really got to see Itachi open up.

People live their lives bound by what they accept as correct and true... that is how they define reality. But what does it mean to be correct or true? Merely vague concepts... their reality may all be an illusion.
