RSM advantages : Gives more speed, more strength, more chakra, more life force, natural energy, reaction, Bijuu's powers and elements and able to absorb huge amounts of natural energy

RSM disadvantages : none

Rinnegan advantages : Six paths abilities, one special ability like limbo/ameno and the ability to travel through diminsions

Rinnegan disadvantages : consumes huge amount of chakra, takes time to be fully mastered and doesn't give any physical ability

RSM > Rinnegan! but still Sasuke = Naruto as Kishimoto stated

Naruto has the better power but Sasuke has better skills to use power

To correct you. RSM does not come with bijuu chakra and kkg.

I would personally prefer the rinnegan. With preta path and deva path and chakra rods, rsm user gets murked.

And only the really haxx rinnegan techs are significantly chakra consuming ie portal and rinne tensei and gedo stuff.

OP: it really depends on the perspective of the person. To some people spiritual techniques trump physical ones. Meaning Sasuke's vast array of spiritual techs allow him to outmaneuvuer and outmatch all of Naruto's techniques even absorb them if he wishes to. To others Physical Technique trumps spiritual techniques meaning Naruto can tank all of Sasuke's techniques while delivering punishment while having a resevoir to spiritual techniques. The truth is both are sort of right.



Naruto has the body to take most of Sasuke's attacks and Sasuke has the abilities to evade Naruto's. Keep in mind Nagato while being an edo which makes him weaker than his alive form nut hecwas nerfed further by having his personality surpressed by Kabuto. Even with this he actually was able to still take on/down KCM Naruto and Bee combined only when Itachi interfered was there a chance. And Sasuke BY FAAAAAAAAAR beats that state of Nagato. I wouldn't say RSM doesn't consume chakra as if this was true, Naruto would have immediately went back into it after the explosion happened between him and Sasuke. Sage mode also drains a considerable amount of chakra after it's usage is used up depending on how much nature chakra the user consumes however I don't think that it bothers Naruto or Naruto's chakra may be at a point where it's negligible. The only disadvantage to RSM is that is that it's limited by physical capability. Spiritual potential is endless while physical potential had a cap. Imagination>realism in terms of power. Imagination is an endless well of energy and physical energy brings it to reality.


Because of this the rinnegan us as strong as kishi needs it to be, while we can pretty much size up how powerful naruto is with RSM. Their abilities are equal or unequal in either party's favor depending on how you look at it or break it down. We also don't know either of Naruto or Sasuke's full potential. We couldn't becayse during the VOTE2 fight Sasuke had not mastered his rinnegan yet and Naruto wanted to beat Sasuke but not fatally kill him. Adult Sasuke has a mastered rinnegan but Naruto is rusty so it'd be unfair at this point. Depending on who is doing the thoerizing it could go either way but it's stated that they are equal

Kishi never stated VOTE 2 Naruto over Sasuke to such an extreme extent. They were both dead if they even attempted to still fight . RSM consumes the chakra of the Tailed Beasts AND Natural Energy AND Sage yang chakra, whereas the Rinnegan drains only the User, the RSM requires the user to have a bond with a tailed Beast and perfect Sage Mode, and Hagoromo's Yang Chakra, thats a disadvantage right there.

Kishi said it through Narutos nerf. Just compare his performance against Kaguya and Sasuke, he clearly was nerfed as hell.

Rinnegan needs to mastered. Sasuke's rinnegan power is only growing more so with the experience. The series leaves us with Naruto and Sasuke being equals but in terms of growth for their new abilities Sasuke > Naruto. Sasuke has more room to improve his rinnegan abilities i.e Ameno cool down time and dimensional travel, whereas Naruto with RSM we've seen what he can do and there isn't anything else to add onto that. So yeah Sasuke's rinnegan > Naruto's RSM in terms of improvement and development.
