Tbh I think those are just really large hills rather than mountains, Kishi is known to never be consistent with object size, at one point bijuu were the size of an entire village, next thing we know they're the same size as Nauto's BM which was half of Kurama's original size.
Imo the meteorites were far from the size of a country let alone a province, so they definitely wouldn't eclipse a portion of a continent like OP suggests

It doesn't make sense though, if the meteorites were size of mountain ranges then none of the SA would have been alive since the collisions from the debris would be equivalent to a meteorite.
The only sensible explanation is the mountains are very small like large hills rather than high peaks like the Alps, large mountains don't have forests like in the illustration and are always covered in snow.

i dont think they were at the place were the rubble have fallen and like i said the country is huge compared to simple mountains but if the hole meteor would have dropped then they would have certainly be dead, thats my opinion on the matter i guess.
and also if a badass like madara cant even bust a country then toneri is pretty much a god compared to him since he was able to slice the moon in half, and even if you decided to downplay it would have still be continent level to at least multi-country level.

Not true at all. It depends on the location and the time of season for the mountain to get snow and there's several moutains that are tens of thousand of feat tall that have no snowcaps at all and are surrounded by forests.

^This is bald mountain with it's highest peak being around 12,000 ft.
I don't think naruto mountains are even in the 1,000 ft range but they're at least hundreds of feet tall.
Most NB members don't know jack bout naruto calc's like speed and DC, some think naruto characters can't dodge bullets, but yea madara's meteors are big as f*ck, dwarfed the god tree which on its own is waaaay bigger than a mountain
