You're right that's not the only counter. Being dead via edo tensei is the only other way. So unless you're dead or have the rinnegan you cant counter it. Now show me where it says Naruto can block IT.

Correct, Kishimoto just made it a point to say that Naruto is unable to counter IT. There are other ways. You can be an Edo Tensei for example :sdo:
