BvS was a 7/10 maybe 7.5/10. It's not on a scale as low as some movies with similarly low reviews, nor is it on the scale of a 9/10 movie. Not bad, but not great either. Box office should be irrelevant as Avatar was the movie that made the most and this was back when tickets weren't 10 dollars each, yet that movie was nothing outside of hype and amazing visuals. Granny's Peach Tea was a 10/10 scene though.

The movie was good imo. Although I do get their point a little bit. While they were a little extreme with the ratings, it also had some cheesy elements and lacked a very strong plot.(Too many storylines here and there) They tried to pack too much into 1 movie and the critics attacked that strongly. All in all it wasn't horrible, but it could've been a masterpiece.

I watched the movie, am I supposed to have figured out who Darkseid is or is that the guy Lex was referring to.

Set up doomsday with a little mention or backstory in the man of steel, and THEN release this movie which sets up the characters even further as well as prepares us for Darkseid,(who for many non-comic book fans, was a complete out of the blue set up).

That was my worry. I saw the film with an ex girlfriend and her brother and we had to explain WAY too much to her. Her words were "I want to like this but I feel totally lost. I didn't know what was happening half of the time."
