A list of those royally screwed by Danzo.

Everyone knows that Danzo caused a lot of shit in Naruto but let's consider the cases. We'll split it into two sections:

Directly screwed:

• Shisui Uchiha - Stole Shisui's sharingan, intended to steal his other one too and get rid of him as he was a potential threat
• Itachi Uchiha - One of Danzo's greatest pawns, basically got Itachi to do most of his major shit back in the old days. Spying on the Uchiha clan, blackmailed Itachi into killing his whole clan then trying setting him up as a power hungry culprit.
  
• the entire Uchiha clan - Speaks for itself, arguably solely responsible for the entire clans demise.
  
• Kabuto - Enlisted him into Root, had him do a tonne of spying shit on all the other villages, then planned to have him assassinated by his own mother which lead to Kabuto's identity crisis.
  
• Sai - Had him raised in isolation, repressed all of his emotions to make him a standard root ninja.
  
• Hanzo - Manipulated Hanzo into an alliance and then double crossed.
  
• Countless other Ninja - All those in Root sacrificed for Danzo's cause, all the Ninja he manipulated to have his own way.

Intended to screw

• [*] Naruto - Even though Danzo and Naruto never met, Danzo had the intention of manipulating Naruto to get the nine tails under his own control.
  
  [*] Tsunade - Danzo hoped that Tsunade's death during Pain's attack would boost his ascension to become a Hokage. As such, he wished for her demise asap.
  
  [*] Hiruzen - Despite being one of the few people Danzo had a lot of respect for, at one point he tried to have Hiruzen murdered so he could achieve his own selfish hokage ambitions.
  
  [*] Kakashi - Danzo used Kakashi to spy on Hiruzen and if it wasn't for Kakashi, Hiruzen would have been successfully assassinated.
  
  [*] The Kage summit - Danzo tried to use his abilities to manipulate Mifune and the rest of the Kage to get himself in a high position
  
  [*] Sasuke - He branded Sasuke as an international criminal and ordered for his immediate death.

Dat Danzo, he would have made a great tyrant Hokage. I honestly was hoping for an arc where he was actually the 6th Hokage which would have made for some epically dramatic story telling. Another missed opportunity I guess.

I think his death was good, I like the fact that he was not totally evil, just had a messed up way of protecting Konoha, he was not in contact with BZ yet he furthered BZ's plan.
