If Sasuke wasn't in the manga this manga would have been purely talk no jutsu to warmongers

Characters like Kakeshi and Shikamaru would have been interesting but the driving force of the story would have been gone. Naruto's characterization as underdog up-and-comer wouldn't have been enough to drive 700 chapters, for sure. He needed a proper conflict; Sasuke provides that conflict

That said, let's not be revisionist, Kishi failed to adequately use the conflict that Sasuke brought to the table to benefit Naruto's development. We already knew Naruto understood Sasuke and why from Part 1 - by the end of Part 2, he's had that outlook challenged, but I really feel like all he did was reaffirm it. It's just that instead of talk no jutsu, he had to fight Sasuke.

If you hate manga that much then just leave
Not what I meant.

Sasuke not being in the manga leads to a shitty manga.

Naruto not being in there leads to no manga at all.

I'd prefer the 2nd option as I wouldn't want to read a shitty manga. But I solo'd myself as having no Naruto implies that there wouldn't be a Sasuke either.

He is as he's the primary catalyst character. I cannot think of any arc that is not connected or introduced through his actions or flashbacks. Honestly, this manga should have been called Sasuke and put in the Seinen genre. It was and is a disservice to the amazing potential this clan had. All butchered to pander man-children that throng these forum and elsewhere.
