Dude, it's Kishi's call on a FICTIONAL character in a FICTIONAL fight. Not yours, not mine--it's a story. Every victory and loss Naruto & Sasuke have had (as well as every other) has been due to the progression of plot. Sasuke had to escape at the end of part 1 otherwise half the plot (if not more) for part 2 would have been gone. Naruto had to win against Pain otherwise the story would be done. If you create any fictional scenario in your head it has to come down to one thing: would plot (therefore Kishi) dictate one person to win or loose?
