Because PP absorbs any ninjutsu. It is a perfect Rinnegan defense for the ultimate ninjutsu.

His PS tanks as well but I feel Preta is more reliable.

Ameno warps Naruto into another dimension, these are better ways of tanking than putting the PS out there for possible damage.

If Sasuke could absorb the 8.5 Bijuus using Preta, 9 simultaneous Bijuu RS shouldn't be a problem.

If Naruto kept making more, Sasuke would keep absorbing till he could attack back with his full strength.
