Itachi and Danzo

So why after being told by Shisui that Danzo stole his right eye did Itachi not kil him after? Especially being at a meeting after his death with him right in the room? I guess you could say plot but that just doesn't make sense

Shisui jumped off the cliff and committed suicide by drowning in the Nakano river. Itachi wouldn't have killed his best friend either way by himself.

It's the same feelings as to why Sasuke spared Naruto in Vote 1.

This was the same thing uchiga wanted to do!! If itachi,who was double agent and son of the leader of uchiha would have killed danzo,it would be a war declaration from uchihas. Danzo didn't trust shisui,so itachi should've gained his trust instead,or else,the war would happen. And there would be no sasuke .

He could have but he would be jeporadizing the stakes for Sasuke's life. He wanted to make sure Sasuke had a home and killing Danzo would cause another Civil War. Konoha just went through one civil war, they don't want another. Also I think Hiruzen would advise not to get so rash and indecisive about it.

Shisui and Itachi mutually agreed on the fact that Danzo's intention was to protect Konoha, even if it meant destroying the Uchiha.

I can somewhat understand that, but Danzo low key wanted power and to take over the Leaf and we saw that with the Kage Summit arc. I felt like he took Shisui's eye strictly for his own personal gain and not to protect the Leaf or else he would've used Koto against Oro, Pain, or Obito when he had the chance too

Thats what I always thought! I mean if he told the Hokage he could have saved so many people and let the culprit be behind bars!
