But I stated before, there's so many techniques that are broken in the Manga. I think it's around the time that Sasuke and Itachi finish fighting that the Manga starts to descale itself, right?

We get introduced to the Mangekyo Sharingan again, this time with Susano'o, and Amaterasu (we saw Tsukuyomi in part one). Then we see techniques like Flying Thunder God, Kamui gets explained, Naruto gets KCM/BM, and you can basically fill in the rest (don't forget the Rinnegan).

I wonder how the scaling is going to be now that the Otsutsuki are apart of the plot line?

Yeah. Kishi's editor left after the Invasion of Pain arc, and that's about when it became shitty scaling and ability wise, so I think his editor was the true genius behind Naruto. Haha.

But I just love the "he's smart/a kage/strong so he'll just break the genjutsu" argument. Forgetting completely that there's no character in the manga who attempts to break genjutsus they don't even know they're in.

Maybe if someone like Jiraiya willingly disrupted his chakra every 30 seconds just in case, we could talk. But to this day, no one, not even Perfect Jinchuriki can end a genjutsu before knowing they are in one.

^ Your statement is why I made the thread saying Raikage had no chance of countering genjutsu if Sasuke used it on him, with MS he can see the eye bleed and know a jutsu is about to be used but with genjutsu he wouldn't know he's in one until the user makes it obvious.

Well Itachi's biggest strength is that his genjutsus are practically undetectable until he either literally tells them they're in one, or he makes it blatantly obvious by having their teammates transform into birds and he flies into the sky.

That's what so many people miss out on (especially in Minato vs. Itachi debates). They assume that the second the genjutsu is live, the sky is going to turn red and the ground is going to start talking like the ****ing floor from Pewee's Playhouse or some shit, when in reality, they're likely to be in exactly the same situation as in reality, but instead of attacking Itachi, they'll be running off a cliff, or even standing still while he walks up to them.
