Would you have the series go bigger or smaller?

"Bigger", as in more world-threatening villians and circumstances than even Kaguya and her evil plans.
We know that the Afterlife exists in the NV, so maybe there could be a threat to what would be called "realms" (Earth, the Living Realm and Heaven, the Spirit Realm). It'd be cool if there were Yu Yu Hakusho-like demons and a Demon Realm.
Villians could be Shinigami, Lord Jashin, and/or Indra.

"Smaller", as in return to the ways of Part 1 and the beginning of Shippuden. Small-to-medium scale real ninja battles. No big DBZ-level jutsu and no world-threatening antagonists.

Personally I would never continue this series, but if I had to choose, definitely smaller.

Yeah, smaller's overall better. However, I love to imagine Indra as the King of the Demon Realm, and Lord Jashin and the Shinigami (Reaper Death God) being his underlings. Though they'd obviously be way too much to handle for Boruto and his generation lol

Smaller all the way. I'd make SM and simple Susanoo the ultimates that can only be used like once or twice throughout the manga.

lol damn, that'd be way too small for my taste. Though I'd be fine with never seeing another Susano'o. I could dig a different type of SM though. Maybe monkey, some kind of feline, some kind of canine, or some kind of bird.

It's possible but they would either never have to interfere, or they would have to be nerfed incredibly

Well, true. It's a matter of taste, I guess, but I miss the feeling when the actual ninja style was relevant and when seeing Susanoo gave chills down the spine and wasn't a casual thing :p

Maybe Hagoromo and Ashura, the King and Prince of the Heaven Realm would help the young lads out.

I would've ended it after the Pain-Arc, to be honest. Sasuke would've been the next and final aspect of the story.

That's not bad actually lol. In writing, there's 2 options of dealing with overpowered villains. Buff your protagonist, or, give your protagonist overpowered assistance. Well there's other ways ofc but it's mainly those 2

Not bigger but smaller. Naruto has nothing to build on to make it bigger in that way to begin with.

The very moment it tried to be big and epic(making it about bringing world peace and debating ideology mumble jumbo as opposed to being about one kid proving himself to his village) is when it went to shit. Smaller is how it would be best it has no potential the other way.

Haha definitely see your point now. Too much of a good thing gets old. I, too, miss taijutsu, kunai, shuriken, tactics, smoke bombs, and small battles that take place in within a forest or on a field, etc.

normally smaller but the way how the series progressed we can only go bigger.

so aliens or other chakra beasts (like not the juubi's split chakras) or another continent.

seeing as that the technology is catching up, there could be a war thatll be against using chakras directly.

but i do hate how the entire thing is too heavily focused on konoha and the uchiha clan... like the rest are irrelevant and dont have powerful people.

thats why i liked The Last movie, it shows that there are also big things going on outside of konoha and more powerful beings as well.

Agreed. Guess it's best to leave demons and aliens to DB

Never realized that. Very true :hmm:

Hmmm yeah, that would've been nice. But then again, that would've left us without all the Edo shinobi we got to see, the story of what happened to Obito, 8th Gate Guy, and DMS Kakashi (which I loved). Then again, Shikaku, Inochi, and Neji would still be alive at least

Well, I think Kishi did a decent job of showing Hidden Cloud's strength via Ay, Bee, Darui, and the Gold and Silver bros.

Advanced technology and envious scientists vs shinobi would be awesome.

Well, I loved to see Madara, but I would rather relinquish him and the entire war arc, than seeing how the series became the worst trash. I know it's up to opinions, but from an artistic point of view, the story about Obito, the Ootsutsuki and DMS Kakashi were horribly awful. Also 8th Gate Guy had the the second worst timing Kishimoto could've given him and made no sense, powerlevel-wise. Then again, the whole war-arc had idiotic powerlevels, so it isn't a surprise.
