SAkura isn't 12 anymore so why would she react so childishly...also she is married to Sasuke and she knows Sasuke hates that incident....so she is taking it lightly whats the big deal about it..?

nope she has been that since the beginning......I actually think Kishimoto planted her in there as a comic relief character rather than for the NaruSaku romance and love triangle thing....I might be wrong but her characterstics do imply that......short tempered fangirl who acted rashly and hit Naruto....sort of reason why Naruto acted stupidly and a control mechanism.....these do imply she was meant to provide comedy moments to the manga too

Maybe. But in my opinion, this got serious very early in the series.
I mean, her behavior is insane and wrong in so many ways, yet she is rewarded and gets what she wants. So in a way, you could see Kishimoto promoting things like "Hey girl, you love a guy for his looks and badassery? Cool, just keep trying, no matter what. Even if you have to experience psychical and physical voilence to the point where he tried to kill you. In the end, you will get him and he will make you a baby". That is just insane.

She is the worst written character I've ever seen in an anime/manga. And it's not even funny.

Well you are right......if you compare her to the real world you will be like wtf? but the thing is this was a manga and lets say every female character was portrayed badly...thats bad writing......

Of course it is "only" a manga. But what do you think will a lot of young children (which are the main audience for this series) do, when they read such bullsh!t in a time period of their life where they build up their identity? Especially those who have to deal with uncontrolled, romantic feelings for the first time. ^^

And that's why I don't think Sakura would "grow up". Kishimoto couldn't even give her a good treatment in the Naruto Gaiden.

hmmm well you make good points milady.....a rarity on this base....btw what do you think is the average age of manga readership...i guess its young adolescence about 15-18 i am just guessing...its an impressionable age........As far as Sakura is concerned I think when it comes to Sasuke she is still immature...i know Kishi justified it as love but the portrayal of true love couldn't have been more scrappy...i mean true love based on what...looks..its just BS...What i think is that since Sakura is almost a single mother and living a relatively tough life she should have matured but she hasn't thats what makes readers angry.....there has been no significant growth for her in her personality is what i personally think....

Puh, don't know to be honest. But I've seen a lot of children being passionate about the series and I guess the youngest were about 12/13? I myself started a bit late with it, 4-5 years ago, with 17/18.
