The last sternritter fight of the series has to be between two of the best fighters on their sides. Like Askin Nak Le Vaar, who was able to take out Ichigo, Grimmjow, and Yoruichi without taking a scratch, and Urahara, who is Kisuke F*cking Urahara. This is going to be epic, and...
Wait, there's still Toshiro vs Gerard? Major downplay in that case. Toshiro's basically a new enemies punching bag, and Gerards nothing but a headstrong idiot. I really don't see how Toshiro vs Gerard is supposed to be as awesome as the rest of the Elite fights, since we got three new Bankai's, one new Shikai, one good guy death, and the main character being curbstomped offscreen.
All Gerard has going for his name is getting killed instantly my Nimaya, Getting his ass kicked offscreen by Renji and Byakuya, beating up some characters who hadn't gone Shikai, then surviving a few attacks. Compared to the rest of the elites, or even non elites like Mask De Masculine or Bazz-B , he's pretty freaking underwhelming. Then you have Toshiro, who has yet to win a serious fight without immediately collapsing afterwards. Not exactly on the same tier as the guy who one shotted the main character, and Urahara's Bankai.
Ignoring Narrative logic, that the last fight has to be the best, how is Toshiro supposed to fight Gerard? Somehow, he's able to beat up Byakuya easily, and Byakuya was much stronger than Toshiro, and always has been. Toshiro's probably just going to be beaten offscreen like everyone else in this series.
This concludes my rant about Sternritter M, the Massive Dissapointment.
