Aside from Kanye being the greatest and most influential artist of all time I can't stand his twitter rants and mentality sometimes. Now this isn't just about Kanye's view on CD's but how Narutobase views it as well.

To start off we all know the CD has been dying for a long time due to streaming services and pirating but are you fine with this? I still love to cop my favorite album physically (Vynil) and keep them as part of my collection. Not only that but for any serious music head out there the quality on a CD is undeniably better to that of a song downloaded off a digital source regardless of the "lossless" or "premium sound" streaming services offer. How do you feel about this?

I for one would hate to see the death of physical CD's.

Sadly, I have to agree with what is he doing. The music is entering a new era. CD's is out. Streaming is in. People are listening to music online rather than buying it at the store. Also, sales are down for CD's while streaming sites are profiting by a large margin.

I'm well aware of that but they should still release a decent amount of physical copies for collectors/those interested/ music quality.

Yeah man I love them it's art to me, the most I would do is a subscription for apple music (Tidal's interface is clunky and feels dated). If I want to support a favorite artist I buy merch.

Kek, if I didn't know about this inside joke I would have blown a gasket :lol

Objectively speaking, Kanye West's old albums (College Dropout, The Late Resignation, and Graduation) - those three revolutionized modern hip-hop. They launched his career from a simple producer to one of the greatest lyricists of our time. Admittedly, nowadays (Yeezus and The Life of Pablo) most of his music is trash - he's gotten used to fame, so he tries to grab people's attention with half-assed albums. However, it can't be denied that he's been an influence to some of the biggest names in Hip-Hop today (Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper, Logic, and Drake). Seriously, without Kanye hip-hop and rap music wouldn't be nearly as mainstream as they are today. The man is an artist, and it really upsets me to see him making sub-par music nowadays.

Agreed. Hope he is joking because I wont be using the high priced Tidal. ONly use Google Music because of the no ads on youtube feature and other various perks you get with it. Will never stop buying my favorite CD's though. FLAC sound quality means the world to me and I wont be going back to your aac or your mp3 120kbps especially since if your data is crap then your shits gonna be sounding iffy af. Anywho it's his choice. Bad decision IMO because if he really wants us to enjoy his production then he would release it in the highest format, AKA CD and Vinyl format. Though I think there is a guy who is ripping TIDAL Flac stuff so people might just create their own physical copies and sell those. Can't believe in this day and age he is trying to fight ownership. It's what means most.
