okay chapter. never been a fan of chelia but she was needed with her god slaying magic. i really hope the sacrifice she made and the pain wendy goes through because seeing her friend like that won't be wasted with getting her magic back somehow.

Someone had to heal Charle and the fact that Wendy is a Dragon Slayer, who still have a role to play, and Shelia a God Slayer, which is more appropriate to fight a god. I'm glad though that the whole "god slaying" magic gained some real contents. Till now I always considered this magic as some lesser version of dragon slaying magic they just gave an impressive name.

Shelia was introduced as a god slayer long before this arc. God slaying magic got introduced even long before that. The fact that the foe literally is a god, means it's not some kind of all powerful substantial being, but an entity/race similar to demons and dragons. Shelia beating Dimaria is not that much different from Natsu beating Motherglare or Grey beating Mard Geer.

You miss understand me. The point is how one sided it was before the power up and then after the power up she won as if something was fundamentally different. Considering her opponent has time hax.

The Third Origin magic in particular rubbed me the wrong way.
Like, you get this very grievous warning that that once the magic got used you lose all your magic abilities. And let's up the anty and say only one of the two of you can get it. COULDVE left it at that and made it seem kinda serious.
BUUUUUT then half way through you get, "Oh? Don't like the decision? Sure, I can change it real quick. Hang on"

Still finding it hard to believe August is the strongest out of the Spriggans.

Would of been nice for Dimaria to show some resistance/durability to G.slayer magic like dragons do to D.slayer magic.

Essentially she basically won just for the fact shes a god slayer which is terrible to me and makes WE look like a huge joke.

That it's air, was never important and both Wendy and Shelia were able to damage Dimaria previously. So it was not so much that they couldn't do damage, but that it was impossible to use their magic as long as they were frozen in time and their opponent was not. The time hax had already been countered two chapters ago by Ultear, so now the only remaining problem was that Ultear was starting to disintegrate while Dimaria was still simply much more powerful than both Wendy and Shelia. As said in my previous post that it's sky god slaying magic is not important, only that it's god slaying magic. It's the opposite that would have made much less sense.

I love how everyone complains about this but it's the way things go, ok it was long since set up, God slayers existed in the series long before now, Wendy was friends with one for a long time so its been long since planned, it's why God slaying magic exists. But what did you expect? God comes in, stops time, kills all and GG? That's not how FT is and we all know it, yet people would rather keep reading and complain that a God slayer beat a God, but lost all her magic. It couldn't be wendy as the dragon slayers have an important part to pay in the part to come with achnologia.

We've see the whole time stuff before in many series so it was nice to have a new magic that gives you your future power, that was a nice twist, now we can move on to bigger and better things. Wasn't the best chapter but nothing to complain about.

Great chapater. Her losing the ability to use magic permanently would be great for her character but I see Mashima bringing it back temporarily.

I liked her character more thanks to this chapter.
