nope thats not true. it was clearly mentioned in the manga that he witnessed the war at age 4. he also has like 4-5years difference to sasuke and he wasnt born yet so being 9 is wrong. just saying.

Itachi died when he was was 21
In Naruto he was 18-19
9 tails attack happened 10 years before
He looked the same during the 9tails attack as when he was on that battlefield. So it seems like he was 9

Naruto and Sasuke were babies when the attack happened... it happened 12-13 yrs before the Naruto series, not 10.
Itachi is 5 yrs older than Sasuke. He was 4 when he participated in the shinobi war and then the war ended due to Minato's efforts primarily. Then, a year later the Kyuubi attack happened. Itachi was 5 and Sasuke was born.
