I'm planning on downloading all of the episodes of Naruto in HD, possibly other anime's as well and planning on buying an external Hard Drive.
I'm currently stuck between these two. :shy:

The Seagate Backup Plus Slim

and

The WD My Passport Ultra

I've done plenty of research and found that they perform and cost around the same.
The deciding factor is which is more reliable?
I'm mainly going to use it to store videos in HD, maybe movies as well.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :hs:

P.S. Is 2TB enough or should I go for a 3TB(if I pick WD) or a 4TB(if I pick Seagate). :wut:

Thanks.

Just a heads up, if you purchase a Seagate external hard drive, and you primarily use a Mac, you may go through periods where your Mac refuses to acknowledge the hardware or software of the Seagate. This is usually around the time of OS updates.

if they both have good reviews then its just up to personal preference
as long as you take care of it then it should last you a while

The hard drive I gave your mom

Personally I would say the seagate, due to seagate drives having superior cloud storage. But they both are more or less equal really. Then again my specialty is software and coding, rather than hardware. So good luck on your choice

Do NOT buy the Seagate. Mine worked and randomly stopped working for no reason, now I have 200GB of files gone down the drain.

So if I update my OS my Seagate will start working again ? Cause it had been doing this a lot and I gave up on it.

It might be the other way around. I updated my OS recently, and mine stopped working...

OMG. I have both of these. Though I prefer the seagate my friend who works with computers swears by the passport. I believe it has been rated #1 many times.
