1) Eat better, not less Human body is extremely adaptable. How many times did you hear someone saying "if you wanna get leaner, just eat less"? well, that's a bullshit. Eating less will only lead your organism to slow your metabolism, or worse, to consume lean mass in order to take the energy that doesn't come from outside. Stuff that you definitely don't want. So it's better to consume healthier food and balance the macros, without letting too much time flow between meal and meal.
2) Train better, not more You should partially forget about the sentence that "only endless sessions of cardio will allow you to lose fat". Training too long will only lead your body to slow your metabolism and produce high levels of cortisol (a lipogenic hormone). So you'd better train hard but for no more than 45-50 minutes per session. This will allow you to increase the quotes of testosterone, that is lipolytic, and increase your metabolism.
3) Choose multi articular exercises There will be time for isolation resistance training and pump. Basics are still the good shit of exercises like deadlifts, squats, bench press, pull ups, push ups, dips and so on. Being big movements they put in work a lot of muscles, leading your body to increase your metabolism and testosterone levels. Still the same story.
4) Local slimming is a bullshit You won't reduce your belly fat doing thousands of crunches. You won't reduce your hips fat doing those strange rotation they do with a barbell, as well. There is no scientific proof that proves that local slimming exists. There is a pseudo scientific experiment they did that says local slimming exists but it's so limited that it's almost imperceptible. At the end of the day you'd better forget about that.
5) Avoid stress It's the weirdest part, but it's 100% true. You know that cortisol is also know as the "stress hormone". High level of stress=high level of cortisol => high body fat percentage. If you decide to find a way to live a happier and more relaxed life, you will even get sexier.
