but I am curiously trying to understand what kind of nonsense is the Byakugan can see through their own eyelids when they need to open their eyes to see.

Theres simply no logic behind it and it's fanfic at best. :flakez: Powers of the Byakugan that is expressed with their eyesight cannot even begin to make sense to work with their eyesight shut off outside of fanfic.

2. It's a natural thing to do, why would you keep your eyes closed 24/7 and expend chakra? They've been opening their eyes to see since they were born (before they acquired byakugan) so its a habit.

The literal only possible defense you could have is to cover it (debunked by that one guy at kage summit), or that because of the chakra in their eyelids, they can't see past it which is debunked here

Nah I'm pretty sure Sasuke wasn't talking figuratively because he killed the zetsu in the process and had his blind fold on at the same time. I can't see the scan but I guess you're talking about AO. I completly forgot about that good point.

Toneri isn' the pinnacle of Hyuga because he isn't a Hyuga to begin with. Neji with Rikudou Senjutsu and Tenseigan would've solo'd pretty much everybody. Kaguya herself negged Rinnegan Sasuke's Susano'o with a simple Byakugan feat.

Okay Why the hell are people underestimating Toneri? For one he isn't even a Hyuga but an Otsutsuki. Secondly, he easily separated the Moon without trying and moved it off orbit. Thirdly, he can easily siphon chakra from the opposing opponent (Won't be bewildered if he could siphon the chakra of Susanoo since it's just a chakra construct). And lastly, Otsutsuki clan > Uchiha!
