Why do people consider the epilogue movies filler?

Kishimoto considers them part of the canon story, he was heavily involved in their production especially the Boruto movie and they don't take place in some alternate timeline like the other movies, they are direct continuations of the manga's plot. The Last even went out of its way to color Naruto's attacks yellow like they're supposed to be in the manga rather than blue.

no, no he doesn't. really now, just because money is involved...

underlined is not true either. that movie has a new plot w/ completely seperate foundation characters.
the manga was completed & even has an ''epilogue'' for a reason - it obviously finished its own plot.
