From what I can understand. Ultear is only back in that certain fabric of time. Basically when Dimaria freezes time, it allows Ultear to fight. When time is unfrozen Ultear returns to her old state. At least that's what I gather. This will still require a ton of explanation though.

Everything besides the Ultear comeback was great. Why Hiro? She sacrificing her youth and life power to save Gray and the others was one of the best and emotional moments in FT. Why ruin it like this. -_-

I want to see an explanation to this and really hope it is just temporary....

This. All her talking about the "Gaol of Time" and such gives the impression that this Ultear is some kind of an alternative version that came into being due to her usage of time magic and that might be permanently trapped inside this zone of time. A gaol is a prison after all, though that might have just been her throwing a oneliner. Another possibility is, as you said, that Ultear can only become like that if that magic is active.

Either way I was already more or less anticipating something involving Ultear with all the hints Dimaria was throwing out in this and the previous chapters. I never liked the whole Ultear-became-old thing to be honest, so whether it makes sense or not I rather have young Ultear back. The moment she rewinded time back for one minute was heavy, but completely misplaced in that time of the story. Hiro should have saved it for much later.

That is exactly what i was thinking...if mashima took the time to think of ultear coming back, it would be in his best interest to bring her back permanently and at her young age. More ass shots for everybody...i sure as hell know its coming. Everybody would be cool with it and with people saying theres is no logic to this it might as well be left like that. To me an explanation would seem more bullshot...probably sounds stupid but thats just me

Trying my best not to fanboy so much with these Za Warudo references & Wendy/Sherria kicking ass. This chapter was really nice. Ultear is known for disguising herself, right? Using time magic on herself is probable too. So where are the complaints coming from? It'll get explained. CS's arrival was great and Mashima is teasing us with that Kagura/Jellal interaction lmao . We just need Gildarts to show up in this madness now xD

5/5 chapter, it really left me wanting more. =D
