Then what does that make us considering what we do to the farm animals, that we are 100% ok with?
Dolphins are ultra intelligent and empathic creatures. I've fed one like 5 days ago and it was swimming with a baby. It shown me graditude, allowed me to pet it(her). Swam around the pier and even tried to play with my friends dog, trying to touch the tip of his nose in the process. Now while I adore all animal life, and am actually a pesceterian for a while now, I do eat chicken from time to time, I'm asking you; are cows and chickens (pigs excluded) capable of forming that kind of connection a bond with human beings? Or clearly show emotions? Dolphins are still not fully explored, they share bonds simmilar to us, they have their own language. They can do simple math etc. Their intelligence might as well be on par w us.
A year ago my friend fell overboard from his fishing boat into the nets he just threw, the nets are several kilometers long and extremely heavy, he was tangled up and pushed to the bottom by the weight. 3 dolphins ripped the nets allowing him to swim back up. They swam along the boat w him for miles until he reached the shore.
And yes, those so called humans from that selfie event are pieces of human trash, they prioritised their ultra cool selfies for social networks over a life of a sentient being.
