Kamui isn't a product of the byukagan, it was compared to kaguaya's portal technique in the databook but even that came from here Rinne-sharingan.

I don't know how Boruto is going to obtain a Sharingan. The closest thing he will have to a dojutsu is the Byakugan.
But Boruto is a prodigy, he will make kamui out of byakugan. He will be a new sage of the six paths. I feel it, this guy looks better and wears himself better than his idiotic father. He is like Sasuke but better. Ultimate ninja!
They will think of something, maybe uzumaki blood will turn byakugan into something wonderful! Orrr we don't know the full potential of byakugan yet! What if Kurama chakra is within Boruto? What if it got copied somehow because of Hinata bloodline some lore changa manga and bahoom! We have new things. Well, for sure they are going to add new things. It can't end only on some tomoe rinnegan or tanseigan.

Byakugans full potential is Tensegan as that was the last form achieved by the originator of the Hyuga clan Hamura. Each clan has their respective abilities crossing them over between each other would take the uniqueness away from that clan. Kurama chakra in Boruto is already there hence him and his sister being born with whisker-like birthmarks.
Copy dimensional jutsu unique to each user not possible. As far as eye prowess that is where it end now Boruto unlocking his Byakugan then combining gentle fist tech with elements is probably next or maybe something along the lines of naruto splitting Kurama in half again just before death and giving one-half to each sibling making the villages ultimate duo. Another possibility is that Himawari inherited Hamura body and Boruto Hamura chakra and by transplanting Himawari's eyes into his body he unlocks tensegan.
Closest you're going to get to dimension hopping byakugan user is Kaguya unless Boruto turns out to have Ashura's and Hamura's chakra and marries Sarada who had Indras chakra and had a kid who now had Hagromo and Hamura chakra then possibly befriended the 9 bijuu inheriting some of their chakra effectively making said child Kaguya.

Please tell me you are being sarcastic. at least when i said Chouchou would get Kamui, Mokuton and Bankai i was being obviously sarcastic. i can think of about thirty reasons boruto shouldnt get kamui without trying.
