Okay, so if I like Kanye West's music better than Taylor Swift's that automatically makes me a fan?

Okay, my bad, read it as if you said I was a fan.
But anyways, I think defending mostly makes sense if you're a fan. That's why (in my head at least), I rather criticized Taylor's music than defending Kanye's, but it seems like you and Crimson got the wrong impression.
To make it clear again, it wasn't my intention to defend him, but give my opinion on Taylor with Kanye as 'evidence'. I do not defend art in general, because I don't see anything good coming from it. If I defend my political views of the world, someone might agree with me and change his behaviour, but if I defend an artist I like, it most if the time ends in chaos. If I do not appreciate another's art (in his case Taylor), I do not expect for my opposite to do so, that's why I think discussing things like this brings nothing but a headache and disagreement.
