Sasuke vs Gaara in part 1...Why didn't Sasuke used Fire release?

I just watched Sasuke vs Gaara after watching Naruto vs Neji(Neji was right about the destiny shit. I hate Kishi for killing him off).

Anyway, Why didn't Sasuke used Fire release during the fight? There have been several moments where he could've seriously damaged Gaara with it.

And that moment you realize that if Sasuke had mastered his Sharingan, he could've taken control of the bijuu inside of Gaara lol.

Oh yeah, during their death fight when Sasuke was trying to get a clear shot on Gaara with the Chidori, why he missed the heart? The 2 tomes sharingan allow him to see everything. He shouldn't had miss it. Welp guess that is plot!

I'm guessing it's cuz Sharingan cannot see through things(except the skin of course and oddly enough the ground during Sasuke vs deidara)

Gaara's sand would have protected him from fire. Lightening > earth so chidori is best.

Talking about during the first fight. I could see him damaging the non-killing Gaara. Like why use Chidori? Chidori is really a killing move, I didn't see any real reason for him to use it in the first fight.

Knew I'd have to explain this. He had MS at the time but used 3T is what I meant because Kishi held off on showing MS designs for ages. His sharingan was still technically next lvl as a whole.

Plus Kurama was in his physical state & other shizz such as Gaara pretty much synchronizing with his beast in a psycho way.
