The maniac who loves to kill for fun

The serious one who wants everything to be absolute and under his control

The manipulator who doesnt have power but manipulates and plays with others feelings to get what he wants

The emo villain who have a sad past as to why he became a villain and his purpose isnt evil but to gain it he does evil things.Kinda like obito.

I know a single villain can have multiple traits but lets just choose a villain who have single trait from the above 4.

My personal fav would be manipulator who uses his brain and not his muscles to manipulate people around him and do evil, kinda like Naraku from inuyasha. He was powerful but his manipulation and toying with other people's feelings was the best villainous trait for me

Obito the supreme jin

The kind of villain who is extremely arrogant, unmerciful, unpredictable, great leader and of course psychologically interesting or complex. A villain who doesn't need to act like a villain, he/she should hold an excellent amount of conviction and self-worth; whether it's in ideas or personal satisfaction. A villain needs to also make the reader feel nervous, anxious, empathetic with their actions. Finally, in my book, A good villain would simply make the protagonist question their existence, ideology, society or even identity sometimes.

The one and only....Shinobu Sensui! The one who mastered the highest level of energy!

The ones who didn't die as a hero and lived long enough to become a villain. (minus Obito)

Griffith from Berserk. Easily the greatest fictional villain my book

Man. Griffith made me sick to my stomach once he crossed to the dark side right after I felt deeply sorry for him.

That is not a villain...That is something else. lol

A villain who you can't decide whether you should pity them with utmost vicarious empathy or hate them for the most depraved magnificent bastard ever, something Shounen is in dire need of.

the joker from TDK is probably the best villain I've come across

- has absolutely no end goal, just wanna see things in disarray because its the opposite of what everyone else wanna see

Again, that's not a villain. That was pure demon. Griffith became a pure demon in that moment. NO purpose at all. A well-written villain is super civilized, chill, and you can understand to some degree.

The joker just wanted to watch the world burn to the ground. Such a lovely villain. He will always be the number one comic super villain.

You must be shitting me right now?!?! No purpose?

Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud would self resurrect from the dead and slap you hard for speaking so ill of the greatest and most psychologically intricate anime character there is. If you watch episodes 23-25 in Berserk you'll start to see a masterpiece of an anime face heel turn

I said "IN THAT MOMENT". Raping that chick and all... Not after that....That moment is what I will always remember him for.

Rewatch episodes 23-25 and even that will seem like one of the most psychologically visceral thing he's ever done
