You all must have noticed that over the entire series it has been said that Luffy's techniques put a lot of exertion on his body and even shorten his lifespan......I think Lucci said this during the fight.....he lost 10 years to fight Magellan's poison and has been consistently using all his reckless techniques so in total how much of his life span has he already lost....Is this a premonition for his early death just like Roger's or something else.....? I think this might be a sign that his life will be cut short. And considering the rate at which the things are progressing it might eventually turn out to be the same....I mean the guy became a pirate when he was 16, and it has been 3 years since he left town.....and until there is another timeskip he might become the PK by 25 i guess or sooner. So it might be possible that Oda might have the idea about his short termed lifespan. What do you guys say..?

This has been said a couple of times and I feel Oda might go in that direction, though for the 10 yrs thing, I want to believe Oda did it to make Luffy's age closer to Hancock's [Luffy × Hancock ftw], #jk

I don't think it aged him physically.......Shortening of the lifespan and aging are two different things....i mean yes his life will have 10 less years but it is not like he grew physically by 10 years
