Haha, no. As a vocalist, his timbre is unique and he's great at adapting it to fit the mood and tone of the song and as a musician, well, he doesn't need a team to write songs as he's incredibly talented, nor does he need one for lyrics, because he's got a way with words and well-versed intellect.
Oh, and he's a multi-instrumentalist. Like, he's to bass what Copeland is to drums; top tier. But he also can play the guitar, keyboard, sax, lute, harmonica, hurdy-gurdy, guitar synth, mandolin, synclavier etc etc.
Sting's one of a kind, MCs are two a penny.

Carey is just another run of the mill power vocalist and because of that, combined with her inability to play any instruments or write good songs on her own steam, or write clever lyrics makes her the mediocre clown.
Sting has a unique timbre, a plethora of instruments under his belt and actual songwriting abilities that will forever cement himself and The Police as musical wonders. Carey will just be in a bucket of bog standard bland power singers that can't do/play anything on their steam; and that's already bursting at the seams.
Oh, and she's certainly not got an artist's soul. The fact that you can sum her abilities as a musician up in one video further solidifies her place.
Like the other million of her clones, all she does is sing about love and empowerment in a really unartistic way. Oh, can't forget her Christmas numbers. Get back to me when writes some clever lines or hits real world issues.

Musicality has more to do with just writing songs or playing instruments; it has to do with how well a person can interpret and express music. How they accentuate a phrase, improvise, embellish on a vocal line while still having it make musical sense. Barbra Streisand and Aretha Franklin (who are both better than Sting by the way) are great examples of this. Sting plays instruments, that's great. But a SINGER'S worth is not judged by what instruments they play. When Maria Callas took stage, was the audience focused on her or that one instrumental player in the orchestra? Mariah is a great musician, as great as Sting is. Just in a different way, but of the same worth.

You're basically regurgitating what I said in a different way. Unlike any of those you mentioned, Sting can express the mood/tone by adjusting his timbre and vocal tone, which puts him straight above all those you mentioned. His value as not just a singer, but as an artist and musician is phenomenal.
Music is an art form, and Mariah Carey and co. don't explore or push boundaries like Sting does and has. They just sing the same schmaltzy stuff in the same schmaltzy style that's been regurgitated a 1000 times over. Stick to your Mariah Careys, but I prefer real artists, not ones that are just meant to stand around looking pretty and belting a few linear notes in a drearily conventional manner.
"Their level of musicianship is above Sting" Musicianship includes singing, composing, writing and playing. Funny how none of the ones you mentioned compose or wrote, or played instruments in their dreary unartistic works. But oh wait, Sting does.
Music is just like an other art form; the soul of it lies in the creation - something which none your aforementioned would know about.

They are renowned for being able to do exactly that, and can do it far better than Sting can. Compared to Streisand and the rest, he sounds bland in comparison. Oops.

Mariah has wrote great songs, and you don't need to write or compose to be a great artist. You can build great artistry and musicality from your own singing, as the voice is an instrument itself.

No, they're not.
They use expression to convey emotion, they don't adjust their timbre; two totally different things. Sting's sound is real and tangible, Streisand and the rest of the band give bog standard, over-dramatic numbers with no real depth. So,

Wrong again, Mariah hasn't wrote any even half good songs, never mind by herself. She has to have an entire team like the rest of her type, and what is produced isn't even close to great. The compositions are linear and unimaginative, as are the lyrics. There's no artist touch, not a wiff of experimentation or exploration and they always rely on delusions.
All those types can do is look pretty and belt a few unimaginative, linear notes without a touch of real emotion. It's all melodrama; smoke and mirrors.
No real emotion, no imagination and no depth. Let's just agree to disagree though.
