Bear in mind that Yonko very rarely get involved in each other's business because they're enemies, and Shanks was "clashing" with another Yonko seas away just days before. Japan doesn't exist in the OP World and neither do the countries that these other languages hail from. In the OP world, they could very well all be part of that same universal language. So while, for us, Fleur is French and Sterben is German, to them it could very well be the same language or for all we know, just nonsense phrasing for the sake of naming attacks.

Indestructible is trying to destroy something and carving symbols is just merely scribbling. Even in the real world there are things that are highly durable but can still be scratched.
