I have been reading here lately about this flat earth theory and thinking to myself how can people believe such things. Also I thought this whole thing was sorted out during the days of galileo galilei, so I was perplexed as to why this subject is still being brought up. So I decided to investigate this flat earth theory and I came across this video

Now I'm not saying you have to watch it but the stuff in here really makes you think, however I'm no scientist so I don't know if some of the stuff in this video is true or not, but you don't have to be a scientists to get what is being said in this video. Now it is a bit long, about half an hour, so only watch if your interested and if you have already watched it fell free to discuss your views. Also I am in no way saying that whatever is in this video is true but what I am saying is this video really makes you think about what is true and what you are told to be taken as true.

Yes the flat earth society who originally had headquarters in Paris France now have their home base in California believe The Earth is Flat and the Moon landing was a stage act dose exist and has ben arrow n for some time I fist heard of them in the late 1960. Why they still exist today? who knows but in order to existed they do need to refute all evidence to the contrary.

Well i might watch it later but the reasons behind why "they're not telling us this" is religious reasons. Claiming to be Hiding the existence of god, controlling us and so on. I would of thought proving a god exists is a far better way of controlling people than trying to hide it, Uniting humanity under one god and so on. Thus i see no reason for the lie in the first place.

I if the questions in this video is what i think they will be, I'd expect most scientists who are experts in these fields would be able to explain them.

True I don't understand the science stuff but I can understand why there are people that think the world is flat and every thing we know about space or the round earth comes from nasa

I respect people's opinions but one if their excuses was that they don't feel themsekves spinning at 1,000 miles per hour, you also don't feel a car or a splane going at the incredibly fast soeeds that they are going. Gravity and inherent preception takes a big role in this. The earth is not flat or a perfect sphere, if anything the atnosphere is elliptical but the actual land mass has been changed a lot. Because of this atmospheric mass and land mass do not readily justify a spherical earth. The Earth is elliptical. Also if you add gravity as a factor, if you put a circular gigantic ball of mass in the middle all around it will begin to form around it will eventually form to be circular. If you believe in science then the same cosmic mass that made the sun is the sane that made the rest of the solar system. We can acceot that the moon is not flat and the sun is not flat yet the Earth is flat? The fact is people will find any form of justification in the world to defend what they truely believe in even if it means ignoring other forms of science. To understand the shape of the earth one musy understand both physics, asyrology AND human psychology to why we percieve the Earth as flat. If you took a flat gogantic surface with gravity abd placed an ant on it, it looks flat right. Now take a spherical ellipticalish surface like a giant ball and place an ant on it then glue it to the surface we'll call the glue gravity. And we incase it in a giant globe that will be the atmosphere. Now if we made the ant crawl on the surface to us it's an elliptical shape but because the ant is so small it wouldn't feel any different to it's flat walking earth surface counterpart. You where I'm going with this? It sounds more to me like government conspirators that just want to be against government. It's the same people that tell you Marijuana is a non adductive drug (not literally the aame people). Furthermore there are different types of education not all education requires you to just regurgitate what you learned from a book or wjat the teacher taught you. This can be found in liberal arts education that encourages free thinking. Business and Law education require more repetition than free thinking as liberal arts education gives someone. Everyone learns in different ways and different schools teach differently but yes being educated and being intelligent mean slightly different things just as being stupid and being ignorant are different

I can't help but see the irony when it comes to the flat earth theory and religious people believing it.

Believe in god, Which they cannot see, have never seen, Yet Disbelieve that the earth is round because they cannot see it curve.

I've never actually met anyone "religious" who's believed in the earth being flat (and I spend a lot of time around them) but apparently they're out there.

I fear for this man's safety he seems THAT stupid & foolish. I can't put it properly into words how concerned I am.

Being that there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary, and the simple fact that if one has enough money they can travel the entire diameter of the Earth in any direction, I will let anyone who believes the Earth is flat continue to do so. With how many people there are out there who have distaste for government and authority, I'm pretty sure there would be millions of people who have journeyed to the edge of the Earth and come back with proof. One does not have to rely on science alone in this day and age to prove the world is actually round.
