Time frame isn't as clear cut as most make it out to be. There are times when the speed of techniques have to be taken into account, like in Short range and faster elements, like Lightning, but this doesn't mean you can't react. Unless of course, you're in a situation where you're so close to the opponent and he uses Nagashi. There are ways to counter it, and sometimes, time frame can be a bit iffy at such points but there are times where one must take a hit, if someone blasts at you at 3rd Gate speed and you know you can't react to it, that's when you either try and defend or simply lose the match if you can't. There are times when we are outclassed by our fellow opponents, and remember that the RP is about fun and trying to be your character, not being a God lol.
In terms of Taijutsu, time frame can get a bit weird, especially when a lot is going on. I am not a Tai specialist, but I would advise you to read some EIG tests that have been passed (Scorps', Kerrah's and Loki's are great ones, especially Kerrah U_U). The way those members have used Taijutsu is just amazing, and perhaps you'll get a better understanding of how they handle time frame. Everything in Taijutsu is fast, and happens too close for some people, so its sometimes about taking a hit and using that as an advantage to counter. We can't always slither our way out lmao
Anyway, I'd like you to start off the fight with any combination, and we'll just go with the flow from there. I'll give you some pointers on TF and the like, do some Tai as well (although I don't particularly like it z,z). You can use customs as well.
