Light ain't the only necessarry thing tough. :/

Edit: Nvm I misread something. Carry on.

lmao are you seriously comparing life on earth with the extreme environments that resides on saturns moon "Titan"?

There is a HUGE difference. Astronomical differences. On earth light isnt needed THAT much, but when we talk about a unresearched moon having a distance of 9 AU things are....not the same.

btw, that Jinrou got the wrong celestial planet of the moon. I should have read twice, silly me.

Exactly!
And we are estimating that life can emerge and survive only in the "circumstellar habitable zone" or also called "'Goldilocks' zone". But there is the possibility that life can even be so different from ours, that it could emerge in others zones too. Similar to certain kinds of crabs, mussels and starfish that can survive near submarine volcanos called "black smokers".
Good point. I didn't even consider that xD

My bad. I just recently started reading up on Titan so I keep mixing them up lol. Jupiter's moon 'Europa' is what I meant. But I'm afraid KonanX is sorta right about the possibility of life there. Yes you're right about the large distance between Europa and the sun but you need to ask how then is there liquid water? Europa definitely has a heat source either been through Tectonic activity within it or possibly through Flexing tides? ( not sure about the name here..But it should be close). This increases the possibility of actually having black smokers there too and it wouldn't be surprising if there are actually Crabs and other life forms we see on our own ocean floor beneath Europa's icy surface ^^

of course i guessed you had to mean the moon Europe. But as you know Jupiter has too rings, those rings are probably more ancient than saturns, but they are obviosly far more fainter in the visible light . Jupiters strong gravitational force puts a tremenodues force/stress on Europe and that "somehow" gives some heat to its orbiting satellites too. I think that maybe jupiters main internal core sends off heat to the surface and transforms the beautiful Europe to a icy , deep ocean landscape.

Oh and the rings could have contained ice before like saturns , and given Europe some water.

When we have billions of stars in the galaxy housing billions of planets, it's hard to say that we are alone in this vast makeup of space. It's also possible that there are other ways in which life can be created, which can increase the chances of aliens even more. Our planet houses Carbon-based life. But it could be that other elements can house life. Some Xenobiologists think that Silicon could be another way to jumpstart life. It's difficult to say, considering the pure lack of empirical evidence for Xenobiology :lol
